Kite surfers can loose their board in high speed crashes or during aerials. Most of the time it's easy to get back to the board but sometimes the rider is too far away from the board to spot and maneuver back to it. This can lead to a long swim and possible loss of some pricey equipment, not always without danger. Here's a presentation of a design study conducted with Ocean Rodeo Inc from Canada. They have been selling inflatable versions of the Go Joe succesfully, this Pro version introduces a compact flip-up design.
